He's Growing Up

Roly Poly in the bath!

Jack's favorite time of day is bathtime. This is just a glimpse of how much fun he has in the water.

Too much fun after dinner!

I knew it would happen eventually. Enjoy!

Jack's First Easter Basket

It took me several tries, but I finally got this video to load. Jack is most impressed with the cellophane wrapping around the basket and the curly yellow ribbon.

Pulling Up

This is Jack's newest accomplishment. He is trying to get to the camera I am holding. He has skipped rolling over . . . he can do it, but he doesn't like to. And I have a feeling that crawling is just around the corner. You can tell he wants to go places. Be sure to scroll down and see all of the new posts. I am finally caught up!

B'ham Trick

While we were in Paris, Jack learned how to make this sound and has been doing it ever since. I'm not sure exactly what it is . . . it kind of sounds like he is coughing, but I think he is doing it on purpose. This video is especially for Gigi, Ancee, and Lulu

Megan

Introducing Megan . . . our newest addition. We have had her for a few months now while she is being treated for heartworms. She is extremely affectionate and wants to be loved on all the time. We adopted her from the Corinth shelter so we are unsure of what her life was like before we found her. She loves Jack and is very gentle with him. On our walks, she thinks her job is to protect the stroller at all costs. When cars drive by, she hunches down as if she is going to ward off any unwanted trouble. I think she will be a great playmate for Jack one day.

Paris!

About a month ago, John and I had a chance to spend five days in Paris (thanks to Mother and Daddy!) and we took it! We left Jack with Mother, Claire, and Laine in Birmingham while we flew across the ocean for an unforgettable vacation. We stayed in an apartment on the Ile St. Louis, went to museums, bought Jack way too many things, and ate wonderful meals. It was fun to get away, but we missed Jack terribly. He, of course, was being waited on hand and foot and was pretty spoiled when we got home! Here are just a few pictures from the trip.

Easter Weekend

Mother and Daddy came to Corinth on Easter weekend on their way out of the country. Jack opened his first Easter basket and was most impressed with the cellophane wrapping and curly ribbon. On Sunday, he wore the counting sheep bubble Claire smocked for him and he was a big hit in the nursery! Then we had Easter lunch at Karen and Don's house. No Easter eggs hunts this year, but next year we will be in full swing!

Jack's First Snow!

After a warm winter, we finally saw some snow! It snowed all night on March 7 and we woke up to 3 inches of snow on the ground. Laine was in town and we took some pictures. Jack was intrigued by the snow and kept wanting to put it in his mouth. I, having just watched a news report on how dirty snow is, didn't let him eat it. That's what moms are for!

Johnny Jump Up!

Supper Time

Jack's New Toy

It is market time again and I made the biannual 600+ mile drive to High Point, NC to the furniture market. It is really hard to be away from Jack again but he does have his mom this time. One of the highlights of my day are the videos and pictures that Paige sends me on my cell phone. I will try to post them here so you can see them too. Sorry they are grainy but cell phone camera aren't the best. - John
