Message from Jack

Important Message from Jack:

Dad though that it would be a good idea to blog about the house and mom's garden but we all know that I am the main attraction here. There are lots of new videos of me, just scroll down a little bit. Thanks for keeping up, I'll do my best to entertain you.

Porch Ceiling Green

Among the changes being made, we are having the porch and garage ceiling painted green. The current white always looked dirty and was hard to clean off. The green color will keep night bugs from gathering around the porch fixtures and hide dust and pollen well. Most people who paint their porch ceilings go for a blue color, 'haint blue' is the correct name, but i think the green looks nice with the oak canopy over the front yard.

Lots of work going on

Lots of projects are underway here at 1802. Lots of loud projects that keep Jack from taking naps and keep Megan stirred up.

This used to be a garden shed and is the future site of where the grill and smoker will be stored; instead of scattered around the porch area as they are now.

This is the current state of the back porch. We have been waiting for the concrete guys to come and pour the slab for the porch.

Paige's Garden Success

I tasted my first homegrown strawberry tonight and it was excellent! This picture was taken a few days ago . . . I have a few more almost ready to pick, but I am trying to exercise some self control. Don't the hydrangeas look pretty?! I take no credit for how they turned out. . . I don't pay attention to them at all!

Games with Dad

John and Jack are playing peek-a-boo in the video and Jack is well aware of where Dad is going to pop up. This is also a great video to hear him babble. He does this ALL day long!

Laughing with his mouth full!

We have no idea what got him so tickled, but he had been laughing for 5 minutes before we got the camera. John and I were out of breath we were laughing so hard. This is the tail end of it here.
