Traditions ...
This was going to be the year we skipped the pumpkin carving. As much as I love carving pumpkins, roasting seeds, etc., three children under the age of five (and one being only 4 months old) has taken its toll and we were totally going to take a pass this Halloween. But my tradition loving first-born had his heart set on a monster pumpkin, so what could I do? I'm behind on laundry and the house is a wreck, but we had a GREAT afternoon!
Pumpkin carving
Kate's reaction to the process of scooping out the pumpkins. She was gagging at either the smell or the slimy insides ... Both were completely gross to her! We are having a fun fall. It has been hard to find the time to update the blog, but I'll keep trying to stay somewhat current!

Fort Morgan Beach
Osh managed to get Jack and Kate out in the ocean this trip. Jack was very brave and let my Dad take him pretty far out. Kate was riding the waves like she has been doing this all her life. Emily enjoyed the undivided attention of everyone else in the condo!

Progress!!
Our backyard project that began in April is finally on its way to being finished! The concrete truck came today and Jack was glued to the windows all afternoon. I had to wake Kate and Emily from their naps so that their handprints could be recorded for generations to come. Emily was very mad ... But she will thank me in a few years when she realizes that we didn't leave her out. You can tell it's a newborn handprint because she wanted to keep her fingers curled up! Fun day at the Frame house today.

Robbe Family Reunion
On Saturday, we travelled to Gardendale, AL for the Robbe family reunion (my mother's side of the family). This was Emily's first day trip and we had a wonderful time. Meme and Pop (my grandparents) were able to come up from Mobile and we took a few pictures of the kids with them. I have lots of wonderful memories in Gardendale of time spent with cousins catching fireflies, spending the night at Mama Robbe's house, swinging on her swing in the carport, playing with Barbie dolls from the 60s, eating fried potato sandwiches ... I could go on and on. Good times.

Don't go Gigi!
Today we waved bye-bye to my wonderful mother who has been in Corinth for two and a half weeks helping us adjust to Emily's arrival. In between loads of laundry, cooking dinners, and holding Emily, she kept Jack and Kate thoroughly entertained and distracted from the major life change going on around here. We couldn't have made it through these last two weeks without her and we miss her already! John's chances of having clean socks have decreased by half, Jack and Kate will be bouncing into our room at 6:30 tomorrow morning instead of Gigi's, and most frightening of all ... The children now outnumber the parents. Wish us luck!

Baby Emily
Less than one week old and already the object of so much love and affection. John and I can hardly put her down, Jack declared "She's the prettiest one yet", and Kate showered her with kisses. It's safe to say that we are head over heels in love with baby Emily around here.
