Thoughts from a three year old

Jack was eating his dinner and I was sitting on the stool right next to him. He looks at me, pats my leg, and says

"Mom, it sure is nice to have a friend like you."

Does that make all his meltdowns today worth it? It certainly does!

Wonderful company, good food, and girly gifts bought and made just for Kate. A perfect way to celebrate Kate's first year!

Life's Simple Pleasures

There are times when having a good time requires spending money - Vacations to the Atlanta aquarium, trips to the zoo, expensive dinners out, new toys, "happy drinks" from Sonic (1/2 price cherry limeades during happy hour!), or a new Mickey Mouse DVD. And then there are times when happiness requires a one dollar kite and a jar of bubble blow. Something tells me that these times will be remembered as fondly as the others!
