House of Blessings

I promise this blog is still about Jack, but I have one more non-Jack related post to share. I am in the Corinth Junior Auxiliary which is an organization that strives to better the lives of the children in our community. We have only one fundraiser each year which provides us with enough money to fund our projects for the entire year. This year, we have a unique opportunity to raise quite a bit of money by giving away a house! Yes, you read it right . . . we are giving away a house! We are selling tickets for a raffle in which the grand prize is a $220,000 house in a very desirable neighborhood in Corinth. (see pictures below) Now, you must know that fundraising does not come naturally to me. I remember having to sell Azalea Trail Calendars in high school and Daddy ended up taking them all to his office to sell because I hated the thought of asking people for money. The only reason I am posting this information is because I truly believe in our cause and we need your support. The tickets are $100 each (feel free to buy more than one!) and they will be on sale until February 18th. The drawing will take place on February 21st. Just to give you an idea of what we will be doing with your donation, I have provided a list of our projects below:

Each $100.00 donation to Junior Auxiliary of Corinth can accomplish the following for the children of Alcorn County

1. Teach approximately 1300 kindergarten and third grade children how to protect themselves from predators.
2. Supply an underprivileged school aged child with one week's worth of new clothes and a coat.
3. Educate approximately 500 high school children about sound money management principles in preparation for life in the real world
4. Send a special needs child to camp for a week.
5. Provide weekly assistance in teaching special needs children how to acclimate into all aspects of society.
6. Make available college scholarships to Alcorn County graduates.
7. Promote excitement and aptitude about reading to third graders at Biggersville Elementary.

Now I realize that most of you already have a house that you love and have no interest in moving to Corinth if you win. I understand. But think of the hefty profit you can make by flipping this house even after taxes are paid. There is a chance to make some real money here! You also have the option to decline if you end up with the winning ticket. I have no idea who actually reads this blog so there is no pressure to buy a ticket. But if you feel so inclined, please contact me either by posting a comment or sending me an email. Many thanks for your consideration and I promise that the next post will be about Jack!

The house is approximately 2500 square feet. It is in the highly desirable Cedar Creek subdivision here in Corinth. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 ½ baths, including a large master suite. It has vaulted and tray ceilings, hardwood floors, ceramic tile, granite tile counter tops, a gas fireplace, custom paint, and custom light fixtures. It is on a nice wooded lot near the Shiloh Ridge golf course.
